GENERAL INFORMATION

Currency
Payments for the basic trip fare are to be made by bank transfer or cheque in Australian dollars. Payments for other items are to be made in Indonesia.

The basic trip cost includes:
  1. Meet 'n' greet at arrival airport
  2. All meals
  3. Cycle snacks
  4. Drinking water
  5. Energy drinks
  6. Accommodation (twin share)
  7. Laundry (where available)
  8. Support vehicle (s)
  9. Cycle mechanic
  10. Cycle assembly and packing
  11. Daily cycle cleaning
  12. Indonesian police approvals
  13. Entrance fees
  14. Experienced bilingual Australian tour leader
  15. Cultural guidance
  16. Overall tour management
  17. Daily yoga instruction
  18. Indonesian-English language interpreting
  19. Indonesian language instruction incorporated into the rhythm of the day
  20. Airport transfers to depart airport at trip end
The basic trip cost does not include:
  1. Air travel
  2. Bike use
  3. Spare parts for bikes
  4. Travel and medical insurance
  5. Damage, theft or loss of items personally held
  6. Western food
  7. Western style protein energy bars
  8. Alcohol
  9. Tips for drivers (could be up to A$100)
  10. Bank charges associated with transfers of trip payments

Notes
  1. Trip costs will be reviewed 3 months before departure. If a rider has already paid for the trip then they will not need to pay any more. If a rider has not made full payment then they will need to pay the remainder at the reviewed price.
  2. The reviewed cost will be affected by inflation, exchange rate, group sixe and gender distribution. Trip cost is based on 6 riders, 2 riders to a room. If the group is less than 6 and the gender distribution is odd, the cost will increase because more rooms will be needed.
  3. The breakdown of accommodation type will vary from trip to trip. Information on accommodation for each trip will be provided on trip pages.
Possible additions to the basic cost
  1. Single supplements - Single rooms are available upon request.
  2. Bike hire - good quality MTBs in good condition are available at A$25 per day.
  3. Pre and post trip accommodation - this can be arranged upon request
  4. Airport pickups - this can be arranged upon request
  5. Insurance - Riders must have medical and travel insurance for the trip. Riders are advised to purchase the insurance straight after paying the final instalment

Payments

Deposit
A deposit of A$200 is required to be paid at the time a trip registration is made. This deposit is non-refundable unless the trip does not run in which case it will be refunded in full.

Instalment
The remainder is to be paid no later than 4 months before departure. If payment is made less than 4 months before departure the cost will be the 'reviewed' cost.
If a trip does not run the instalment will be refunded.

Refunds
If a rider has made payments and the trip does not run those payments will be refunded.

Withdrawals
In the case of a withdrawal more than 3 months before departure date, A$200 is the maximum amount that may be refunded.
No refund will apply if the withdrawal is less than 3 months before departure.
