Indonesian language instruction is included naturally into the activities of the day. You’ll experience Indonesia as it really is. Daily rides are 60 – 100 km, depending upon terrain. Rides are planned with flexibility to allow for spontaneous stops to explore whatever. On most days swimming is available and optional yoga classes are held after the day’s ride and before dinner. The support vehicle drivers speak English and a mechanic looks after the bikes. Food is Sulawesi style modified Indonesian - rice, fish, vegetables for main meals. CURRENT TRIPS North Sulawesi Cycle Tour 21 January - 01 February 2012 12 Days - 716km View This inaugural trip departs Manado on Saturday 21 January and finishes in Gorontalo on Wednesday 1 February 2012. The 716 km route takes us to Tomohan, the still active Gunung Lakon volcano, around Lake Tondano and the hot springs at Remboken. The route passes through a combination of mountainous and coastal terrain. Riders will experience the Christian culture of Minahasa and the Muslim culture of Gorontalo. Central Sulawesi Cycle Tour 13 May - 28 May 2012 16 Days - 907km View Trip begins in Palu on the central west coast of Sulawesi on Sunday 13 May and finishes, 907 km later, Monday 28 May in the east coast town of Luwuk. Trip takes in the rugged and scenic mountains of Central Sulawesi, crystal clear Lake Poso, idyllic Togian islands and the coastal coconut route from Poso to Luwuk. Swimming available 15/16 days. Toraja Cyle Tour 02 September - 14 September 2012 13 Days - 648km View This trip begins in Makassar on Sunday 02 September and finishes in Makassar on Friday 14 September 2012. Trip incorporates vehicle travel Makassar - Toraja; 6 days of cycling in the rich cultural hartland of Toraja Land, guided trekking and white water rafting, yoga, bahasa Indonesia instruction and swimming. They're mostly in a non-tourist, traditional village environment. Every effort is made to provide riders with an 'as it is' experience.
